Emily Gabriel is a singer-songwriter based out of Tallahassee. She is currently recording her first EP at Cat Family Records with a release planned for summer of 2019. From heartfelt songs dedicated to her grandmother to sweet songs with sudden strikes of angst (certainly not dedicated to her downstairs neighbors), the EP will have a wide emotional spectrum sure to make you swoon. Some influences in her music are Ingrid Michaelson, Haley Heyndericks, and Adrianne Lenker. She loves songwriting, attempting to be a vegetarian, and her cat, Mozzarella.
Gabriel has performed at various venues in Tallahassee including the Wilbury, Black Dog Cafe, and The Plant. As a Music Therapy student at Florida State University, she has also performed with several vocal ensembles in the College of Music, and she is a regular at the ever-famous Calvin’s Coffee House open mic nights.
